Johannes Milchram lives and works on the outskirts of Vienna, the city he came to from rural Austria in order to study literature and stay. Currently, he is working for an educational NPO.
His poetry is located in the interstices of silent film, land art, architecture and movement. Scenery, props or the so-called backdrop are reversed to become protagonists, whereas the human figure acts as mere impulse for action. The most recent project of short films explores a huge space under construction north of Vienna's Seestadt, Aspern. His poetry celebrates the fact that to exist equals bearing meaning, as an element of a fully functioning solar system. |
